Picture it, I was strolling through Soho in New York City when I came across a store with beautifully simple displays and clothing. As I peaked through the window I noticed a pair of cream suede sneakers looking right at me, at least I felt that they were. I look up at the sign, "COS." Yes, Yes, Yes, into the store I went. I was in heaven, I had to be. Simple structures and silhouettes that make you go all googly-eyed. Of course I had to explore the three-story boutique, each floor full to the brim with beautiful clothes. If you have not noticed yet, I love COS.
As I was browsing I spotted the sneakers I saw in the display window, it was love at first sight. But as with any slightly big purchase I stopped and carefully thought about it. At $115 do I really need these sneakers? Will they go well with everything in my closet? I decided I didn’t want to make the splurge even though the answers to my questions were yes.
A couple of days after seeing them in store I realized I couldn’t stop thinking about them, I even kept going on the website just to look at them. I was obsessed. So I did what any rational person would do in my position, I asked my dad to gift them to me for my upcoming birthday. Oh come on, don’t judge me, you would’ve done the same.
Let’s get to the nitty gritty though. Shipping was fantastic, we ordered on a Saturday morning and they were at my doorstep Tuesday afternoon. The packaging wasn’t anything special, but they did come with a dustbag which always comes in handy when traveling. The sneakers themselves are a nice suede in a grayish/cream color. I made sure to spray them with a suede protectant, which is important to do just in case something spills on them or you get caught in the rain, though I would stray from wearing them on a cloudy day just to be safe.
